Mega Power Star Ram Charan has conquered the box office with mind boggling numbers all over, for the film ‘Racha’ on the first day. It has comprehensively beaten the previous record even with less number of screens.

‘Racha’, which released on April 5 with mixed reviews and average talk, went on to create records all over the state, claims the trade. Delighted with the openings the producers of the film arranged a press meet and announced the first day collections to be 8.54 Cr. The film is maintaining steady collections post the stupendous openings, he said.

‘Racha’ was directed by Sampath Nandi and starred Ram Charan and Tamannah in the lead. Mani Sharma has given the music.

‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’, directed by Teja, has completed its censor and got ‘A’ rating for its explicit language and over violence. The film will release worldwide on April 12.

Prince and Nandita are being introduced with this film as the lead pair along with a host of other actors and technical crew, which includes the music director of the film Yashwant Nag. The film is very crucial not only for these newcomers but also for the director as he doesnt have a  successful movie for very long time. In fact the director’s last release was four years ago and it was big time flop at the box office.

‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’ is produced by Anand Prasad on Bhavya Creations banner. Let’s wait and see if the director regains his lost form or not.

The first look stills of Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s new flick ‘Julayi’ are out and true to the actors tag the stills carry a very sleek, stylish and fresh vibe with them. The film is directed by Trivikram and this is the director’s next venture after the disastrous ‘Khaleja’. Also the director known for being lazy with shoot has almost completed the shooting of the film at a very fast pace. Sources say that the director has not even taken his full remuneration for the film and would take it post release on a share basis.

‘Julayi’ stars Ileana as heroine opposite Allu Arjun. Sonu Sood and Rajendra Prasad play important roles. Devi Sree Prasad has given the music for the film. S Radha Krishna has produced the film on Haarika & Hassine Creations banner.

While Salim Khan, who co-wrote the movie ‘Zanjeer’ along with Javed Akhtar, is against the remake of the movie, Salim Khan’s son Salman Khan in a recent press conference said that ‘Zanjeer’ should be remade.

“Of course there should be a remake of Zanjeer. Zanjeer was a superb and really good film,” said actor Salman Khan.

Salman dint let the opportunity to talk about another Amitabh Bachchan’s remake ‘Don’ starring Shah Rukh Khan go by.

“Don was remade twice. First was remake and the second was a sequel of a remake,” he said.

The movie Zanjeer is being produced by Amit Mehra, who is son of late Prakash Mehra, who produced and directed the original.

After long negotiations, the overseas rights of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film ‘Gabbar Singh’ have been sold to Blusky Cinemas. And once again it has been sold at record price in the career of Power Star. The rights, if reports doing the rounds are to be believed, have been sold in excess of 3 Cr.

‘Gabbar Singh’ is an out and out commercial entertainer directed by Harish Shankar. Music for the film has been provided by Devi Sree Prasad and sources say that it has come out really well. In fact once the music is out the expectations on the film are expected to hit the roof top.

Shruti Hasan acts as heroine in the film. Bandla Ganesh produces the film and its set to release in the last week of May.

Mass Maharaja is once again going to act in the direction of Gopichand Malineni. They have previously worked for the film ‘Don Seenu’, which was also the debut movie of the director.

This time the director is going to turn Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in to a ‘Playboy’. As many as five heroines are expected to be part of the film, which is expected to be a full on entertainer with lots of action.

Kona Venkat is providing the script for the film. Prasad.V.Potluri produces the film. Other cast and crew details of the film will be known soon.

As far as Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja goes this is the third film that’s in the pipeline for him. Apart from ‘Playboy’ he has a film each with director Parasuram and Meher Ramesh.

King Nagarjuna’s ‘Damarukam’ is going to have its audio launched in the first week of May, said sources. Earlier it was expected to release in the last week of March but with the post production work still not being complete the makers postponed the audio release of the film.

‘Damarukam’, King Nagarjuna’s upcoming release has finished its shooting long ago. But the film, which is said to be a socio fantasy genre film, has been in the post production stages since long as the makers want to get the best output possible for the visual effects. Not only that the makers are also planning to convert the film in to 3D and hence its taking even more time than usual, says the sources.

Anushka is the heroine in the film opposite Nagarjuna. ‘Damarukam’ is produced by RR Movie Makers. Srinivas Reddy directs the film. The tentative release date for the film is June end according to sources.

Just one more day is left for the release of Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s ‘Racha’. All arrangements have been done for grand release of the film worldwide. Record numbers of shows are planned in each area across the state for the film.

‘Racha’ also happens to be the first ever Telugu film to have a release in three South Indian languages at the same time. The film is releasing as ‘Ragalai’ in Tamil and as ‘Raksha’ in Malayalam.

‘Racha’ starring Ram Charan and Tamannah is directed by Sampath Nandi. Mani Sharma has given the music and the film is produced on the banner Mega Supergood Films.

After ‘Don’ and ‘Agneepath’ its time for another of Amitabh Bachchan’s cult classic’s ‘Zanjeer’ to be remade.

The movie is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Amit Mehra, son of late Prakash Mehra, who directed and produced the original.

Before starting on this venture Apoorva Lakhia had sought out Amitabh Bachchan’s consent to make the remake.

The director had even approached Abhishek Bachchan to play the lead role in the movie. But Abhishek Bachchan refused to star in the movie saying that he dint want to put himself in direct comparison with his father.

“Apu and Junior (that's what Lakhia calls Abhishek), go back a long way. From the time Apu made his first film ‘Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost’, either Abhishek or his father or both have featured in all his films. Apu couldn't dream of doing ‘Zanjeer’ with any other actor except Abhishek. So the first thing he did when he decided to remake ‘Zanjeer’ was to drive down to the Bachchan residence and offer Inspector Vijay's role to Abhishek,” said a source to Mumbai Mirror.

Victory Venkatesh is soon going to travel abroad for the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Shadow’. The unit is planning a long shooting schedule in Paris. But that’s not the only place they are going to shoot. The sources say that the film will be shot in several foreign countires to give the movie an international feel.

Meher Ramesh directs the film, while Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan are providing the script. Tapsee and Madhurima are acting in the film as heroines. Hero Srikanth will also be seen playing an important role in the film.

‘Shadow’ is produced by Paruchuri Kiriti on the banner United Movies. SS Thaman is providing the music for the film.
