Director Teja and music director RP Patnaik, who once ruled the hearts of the Telugu audience with their wonderful combination and provided many chart buster albums, are going to lock horns at the box office this Friday.

Director Teja’s ‘Neeku Naaku Dash Dash’ and RP Patnaik’s ‘Friends Book’ are set to release tomorrow. While RP Patnaik is coming after critically acclaimed ‘Broker’, while director Teja is coming after a long gap of four years. Both the films stars newcomers in the lead roles. Let’s see which of the films gets better response critically and commercially.

Shooting of Superstar Mahesh Babu and Victory Venkatesh starrer ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ will resume from today after a short break. Shooting is expected to take place in Ramoji Film City till April 14 and then the unit will move to Ahmedabad and shoot there for six days.

Mahesh Babu took a break after the last schedule and went to Bangkok to take rest and he has returned yesterday to Hyderabad. Currently the star is shooting for a new Thums Up commercial in the city.

‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ is produced by Dil Raju and is planned to release as a Dussera gift. Srikanth Addala directs the film. Anjali and Samantha are acting as heroines in the film. Mickey J Mayer is giving the music.

Energetic Star Ram finally confirms that he is doing another film with ‘Kandireega’ director Santosh Srinivas. Since few days specualtions rife that a sequel of ‘Kandireega’ is being planned with the same cast and crew of the original. Ram has however confirmed that the film is not a sequel of ‘Kandireega’ even if the cast might be similar to the original. Other details about the project would be announced soon.

Meanwhile, Ram is super excited about the release of his upcoming film ‘Endukante Premanta’, which is being made in the direction of A Karunakaran. The audio of the film is slated to release on April 21 in Hyderabad.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan has kick started the shooting of his Bollywood debut film ‘Zanjeer’. He is currently in Mumbai shooting for the first schedule of the film.

‘Zanjeer’ remake is directed by Apoorva Lakhia of ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ fame. Prakash Raj plays the role of the villain and Mahie Gill of ‘Dev D’ and ‘Not a Love Story’ fame has been chosen as his mole in the film. Arjun Rampal will reprise the iconic Sher Khan role essayed by Pran in the original.

Other cast and crew details of the film like music director and heroine are yet to be announced. Amit Mehra, son of Prakash Mehra who directed the original ‘Zanjeer’ is producing the film in association with Reliance Entertainment.

Music director SS Thaman is continuing his succesful journey to bag all the biggest projects. He already has an enviable line up of films in his kitty and now he has another film added to his long list. The young music director has been roped in as music director for the upcoming film of King Nagarjuna to be made in the direction of Dasaradh.

The film will go onto sets in August after Nagarjuna is done with his current project ‘Shirdi Sai’. Nayanathara is acting as heroine in the film, while Chandan Reddy produces it on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan has created all time record for first week collection by beating the previous record of ‘Businessman’ in just six days flat. ‘Racha’ maintained a steady pace post the stupendous weekend and hence the record was achieved comfortably is what the trade says.

With this, Ram Charan now has the first day record, first week record and full run record to his credit, truly living up to the billing of his Mega Power Star. Even the second week is expected to show good numbers and overall the film, as of today, is sure to find a place in top 5 highest grosser of Telugu film industry. If it maintains the steady collections for entire next week, the film is expected to find a place in the top 3 highest grosser as well.

The release of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu’ to be made in the direction of dashing director Puri Jagannath has been postponed. The film was launched recently and on the launch day itself the producer and director announced that the film would release on October 18 for Dussera.

But latest developments suggest that the film would be postponed by two months and release in December. Reason for the postponement is said to be Pawan Kalyan’s health. Power star has been shooting round the clock since the release of ‘Komaram Puli’. Also, recently he had a minor injury to his elbow on the sets of ‘Gabbar Singh’. Hence, the actor has decided to take two months rest after the release of ‘Gabbar Singh’.

The film has busy bee Tamanna as heroine and as the actress is very busy with multiple films in the hand, one has to wait and see if the new schedule fits her schedule or not.

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja will soon act in a new film directed by Parasuram. This new film will be produced by Ashwinidutt on Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The film, sources say, has been titled as ‘Saar Vastharu’. Nothing has been officially confirmed though.

Ravi Teja as we all know never keeps himself idle and is always busy with shooting, sometimes even doing multiple films at the same time. Looks like its going to be the same again for Ravi Teja as he has committed to do three films in the second half of this year. He has a film in planning stages each with Gopichand Malineni, tentatively titled as ‘Playboy’ and Meher Ramesh, titled as ‘Power’ apart from the Parasuram film.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is once again going back to his singing ways. According to sources close to the unit of ‘Gabbar Singh’, it is believed that Power Star has indeed lent his voice to a song titled as “Quarter Bottle”. This song has reportedly come out very well and is said to be one of the highlights of the film.

Music for the film has been provided by Devi Sree Prasad. It’s his second film with Pawan Kalyan after the sensational album ‘Jalsa’. ‘Gabbar Singh’ audio is said to be an out and out mass album that would make masses go crazy. Audio of the film would be released on April 15 in Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad.

‘Gabbar Singh’ is directed by Harish Shankar with Shruti Hasan acting as heroine. Produced by Bandla Ganesh the film is expected to release in the third week of May.

The stage is set for Mega Power Star Ram Charan to create the first week record. Monday, which was the crucial day for ‘Racha’ to achieve the record, held up very well and registered very good collections taking the film close to achieving the first week record. ‘Racha’ is now expected to comprehensively beat the first week record by a good margin.

Ram Charan and Tamannah who starred in the film are very happy with the outcome along with the producer and director. In fact director Sampath Nandi couldn’t believe the mayhem that’s going on at the box office and credited the entire success of the film to Ram Charan. If the collections continue in the same fashion in the upcoming days, ‘Racha’ would very well be in the top 3 films of all time, says the trade.
