The audio of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest film ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ is an instant hit among music lovers. To mark this occasion, the makers of the film are planning to conduct triple platinum disk function today at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad.  The first look of Balakrishna as Lord Sri Rama will also be released today at the same venue. Balayya, who was busy shooting in Austria for his new film ‘Adhinayakudu’, got back to city yesterday to attend this event.

Former Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Ilaiyaraaja, Bapu, Nayanthara and other cast members of the film are expected to attend the event. The movie is said to be made on a budget of Rs 32 crore. It is also heard that the movie has done decent prerelease business with the distributors. The makers are planning to release the movie worldwide on November 17 with highest number of prints in Balakrishna’s career.

As Vidya Balan’s character in the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’ is loosely based on the life of southern sex symbol Silk Smitha, it only makes sense that that filmmakers of the movie are planning to cash in by dubbing the movie in both Telugu and Tamil languages.

"It makes sense to cater to the South audiences as well because Silk Smitha was a huge sensation in South Indian films. Perhaps they would be able to relate to the film more easily than the Bollywood belt,” said a source close to the movie.

Vidya Balan portrays the character of Silk Smitha, who rose to fame due to her bold dance numbers and semi nude appearances in movies down south. She garnered the reputation of sex symbol due to her boldness. She became one of the most popular actresses in Southern Film Industry.

Venu Tottempudi, who is eager for a hit at the boxoffice, has signed a new film titled ‘Ramachari’, in which he plays the character by same name. The film completed its shooting recently and is hitting the screens in November. ‘Ramachari’ is the official remake of Malayalam film ‘CID Moosa’. Kamalini Mukherjee plays female lead opposite Venu. The audio of the film released on Thursday received good response. Mani Sharma has scored the music for this film.

The movie is a laugh riot and Venu plays the role of a spy. The film has a tagline ‘Veedo Pedda Goodachari’ itself is eye catching. Venkata Shyam Prasad of SP Entertainments is the producer of the film and Eeshwar is the director. Dr Brahmanandam, Ali, Giri Babu, Chandra Mohan, LB Sriram are the other cast members.

Tollywood’s most sought multi-starrer ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, which features Victory Venkatesh and Super Star Mahesh Babu in the lead roles is becoming more popular by the day. Now the latest addition to this movie is young music director Mickey J Mayer. This will be his second movie with director Srikanth Addala after ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’.  Dil Raju is going to produce the movie. 

Trisha and Samantha are finalized as female leads. The makers are selectively choosing the star cast for this prestigious film. Regular shooting of the film will commence from December onwards. Tapsee, who is awaiting the release of her new film ‘Mogudu’ opposite Gopichand, has bagged a new film. She is set to romance Ravi Teja in a film to be directed by ‘Souryam’ Siva. Earlier, the duo worked together for ‘Veera’ which became a colossal dud at box-office. The movie was formally launched on August 18. The regular shooting of the movie will commence from November onwards.

Vijay Anthony has been roped in as music director of the film. Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad is playing Ravi Teja’s father in this mass entertainer. Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Ali, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, MS Narayana are the other cast. Ravi Teja is currently busy with Gunasekhar’s ‘Nippu’ which is slated for Pongal release. 

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film ‘Panjaa’ is hitting the headlines with its novel promotional campaigns. The teaser of the film that released for this Diwali received thunderous response from the audience and the fans of Pawan Kalyan. So far the video has been viewed by over 2 lakh users in YouTube. Producers of this film Neelima Thirumalasetty and Shobu Yarlagadda have paired up for movie’s publicity campaigns and their efforts are fruitful so far.

Now the latest news is that the merchandise stall of the film will be launched today evening at around 6 pm in Cinemax multiplex, Banjara Hills. Actress Bhanupriya, who usually stays away from limelight, has finally managed to bag a role in Young Tiger NTR’s upcoming film ‘Dammu’. It is reported that she is going to play the mother of NTR in this high voltage mass entertainer. The actress was lastly seen in Allari Naresh’s ‘Pellaindhikani’.

On the other hand, the suspense surounding the heroine of this film still continues. Now, the latest buzz is that Trisha is set to replace Kajal as the female lead of the film. The reason behind this is that Kajal Aggarwal opted out the project following some differences between her manager and the producers of the film.

If all goes well, this film will start its regular shooting from next month onwards.

Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming action entertainer ‘Bejawaada’ has completed its talkie part recently. Currently the post production works of the film are progressing at brisk pace. The film, which revolves around the political wars between two gangs based in Vijayawada, is gearing up for release in November.

The trailer release event of the film is going to be held today at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. It is learnt that one of the producers of the film, Ram Gopal Varma is going to grace the event as the chief guest and release the trailer. Naga Chaitanya will also join the event along with few other co-stars of the film.

Richa Gangopadhyay, who shot to fame with Ravi Teja’s ‘Mirapakai’, has failed to bag new projects in Telugu. Recently, she shifted her base to Chennai following few exciting projects in Tamil. She is awaiting the release of her new films ‘Osthi’ and ‘Mayakkam Enna’.

Now the news is that she has bagged a heroine’s role in Prabhas new film, which is being directed by writer Koratala Siva. The film also has another heroine who is yet to be finalised. Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati are jointly producing this movie on UV Creations banner. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for this film.

‘Happy Days’ fame Nikhil Siddharth, who is putting all his efforts to score a hit, has bagged another exciting film titled 'Kathi Srinu c/o Tirupathi'. Chinni Krishna, former assistant of VV Vinayak is going to direct this film. In an interactive press meet, film’s director Chinni Krishna said that failures are not new to anyone who works in the industry and Nikhil is no exception to it. He also predicted that Nikhil is going to register a big hit with this film.

Nikhil too expressed his confidence over the film’s success and said that he is playing the title role in this film and his character is that of a casanova and he proposes to every girl he sees without any second thought.
