The success meet of Tamil Super Star Surya’s latest release ‘7^th Sense’ was held at Cinemax, Hyderabad today. Surya, Shruti Haasan, director Murugadoss and other cast members of the film graced the event. The movie opened to mixed reviews and went on to collect Rs 12 crore in its first week. Among this, the movie has collected Rs 4.5 crore in Nizam territory alone. The film was released through Gemini Films in Nizam area. 

Speaking on the occasion, Surya said that he was overwhelmed with the kind of response his film received in Andhra Pradesh. He also expressed his happiness over its box-office run and thanked the audience for making the film a big hit. 

Murugadoss said that there are many superheroes from our country and certainly Bodhi Dharma is one of them. He also said that the movie is the combination of history, science and commercial formula.

Shruti Haasan expressed her happiness over the film’s success and thanked the makers for giving this opportunity at the early phase of her career.

Super Star Mahesh Babu’s latest offering ‘The Business Man’ is currently being shot in Goa. The post production works of the film are also going on simultaneously at rapid pace. According to our sources, the dubbing of the film will begin from November 15^th onwards at Shabdalaya Theater, Hyderabad. 

We came to know that director Puri Jagannadh is planning to wrap up the entire shooting part by December 3. The audio launch will take place in the third week of December. Bollywood actress Shweta Bhardwaj is doing an item song in this movie. The movie offers love, action and comedy. The film is coming up with a caption Guns don’t need agreements.

Maestro Ilaiyaraaja suffered a huge loss when, his wife, Jeeva passed away in the late hours on Monday due to cardiac arrest at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. She is survived by Ilaiyaraaja, sons Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja and daughter Bhavatharani. The entire film industry expressed deep shock over her sudden death. Several celebrities rushed to Ilaiyaraaja’s house and offered condolences to the bereaved family members. 

The incident happened when Ilaiyaraaja was in Hyderabad to attend the audio success meet and first look posters release of his latest movie ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’. Jeeva complained of chest pain and was rushed to nearby Apollo Hospital at 9:30 pm. The doctors announced that she was brought dead.

Jeeva underwent bypass surgery five years ago following heart complaints. The last rites will be performed tomorrow at her native place Pannaipuram.

Victory Venkatesh’s next release ‘Bodyguard’ is all set to join the big league of movies for the Pongal season. The movie which was scheduled for release on December 2 is now postponed to January 12. Venkatesh is playing the role of a ‘Bodyguard’ who comes out to protect Trisha from evil forces.

The first look posters of Venkatesh as ‘Bodyguard’ received positive buzz from the audience. The shooting of the film is completed except for a song and currently the post production works are in progress. The audio of the film will be released sometime in December. Music director Thaman stated that this is a feel good album and compared it to his last film ‘Vaishali’. 

On a side note, Mahesh Babu’s ‘The Business Man’ and Ravi Teja’s ‘Nippu’ are also slated for Pongal release. We have to wait and see whether these films reap profits or end up as duds at box-office.

The Young and energetic music director of Tollywood Devi Sri Prasad is on cloud 9 for two reasons these days. One, for signing a big project which is going to be produced by Dil Raju and the second is that the music director has been roped in to compose music for Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s new film.

If we go into the details, Devi Sri Prasad has bagged the opportunity for the first time in his career to score music for Ram Charan’s next film, to be produced by Dil Raju. Vamsi Paidipally of ‘Brindavanam’ and ‘Munna’ fame is the director of the film. According to our sources, the music sittings of the film are currently going on in Goa along with DSP.

Earlier, DSP has delivered super hit tracks for Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun starrers. Let’s hope he continues his success streak with Ram Charan too.

The first look posters and logo of Rana Daggubati’s new film ‘Naa Ishtam’ were unveiled yesterday. The event was a low key affair as Rana himself released them in a small private function. This is for the first time Rana is acting in a commercial film after a couple of experimental films like ‘Leader’ and ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’, which failed to deliver the much needed break.

Director Prakash Toleti said that Rana’s performance and diction in this film is going to set new trend among current gen actors. Rana is playing the role of a man who does things upon his fancies. ‘Naa Ishtam’ is a blend of love, action, sentiment and comedy elements. 

Rana is simultaneously doing a Hindi film titled ‘Department’ under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma. The actor is due for a big hit and we have learnt that he is quite confident over these two film's success. Let’s hope he lives up to the expectations and reaches new heights in his career this time. 

Nikhil Siddharth, who failed to score a hit in recent times, is testing his luck again with his next release ‘Veedu Theda’. Pooja Bose is making her debut as female lead in this film. The film completed its entire shooting part recently. Right now, the post production works of the film are progressing at brisk pace. The audio of the film is expected to release in the first week of November.

The makers are planning to release the movie on November 18. Nikhil himself confirmed this news on a micro blogging site. The actor seems to be quite nervous over the fate of the film. 

B Chinni Krishna, who worked as an associated to star director VV Vinayak, is the director of the film. Chakri has scored music for this mass entertainer. The movie is produced by Prakash under Lakshmi Narasimha Entertainments banner.

Versatile hero and producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is trying something new in his next film. Our sources claim that Kalyan Ram is going to produce a 3D film under his banner NTR Arts.

Jagapathi Babu’s next release ‘Kshetram’ has reached the final leg of shooting. The film set on the backdrop of Malaysia and Rayalaseema has an interesting love story between ‘Kick’ fame Shaam and heroine Priyamani. The movie is a blend of love, action, sentiment and comedy elements.

“The audio of the film will hit the stands on November 5. Jagapathi Babu’s character and diction is the highlight of the film. The two roles played by Priyamani are very different and the director has extracted the best of her," says the producer.

“Jagapathi Babu is doing a film on Rayalaseema backdrop for the first time. His performance will evoke immense appreciation. We are making all the efforts to release the movie at the end of November,” says the director.

The onscreen chemistry between Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani will create box-office wonders again, predicts a close source to the unit.
