After years of speculation, actress Rani Mukerji has finally tied knot with filmmaker Aditya Chopra on April 21st in Italy.
Today actress Rani Mukerji released a statement confirming her wedding.
“I would like to share the happiest day of my life with all my fans all over the world whose love and blessings have been part of my journey all these years. I know that all my well-wishers who have waited for this day will be really happy for me. It was a beautiful wedding in the Italian countryside with just a few of our close family and friends with us,” the actress said.
“I have always believed in fairy-tales and with God's grace my life has been exactly like one, and now as I enter the most important chapter of my life - the fairy-tale continues,” she added.
The guest list for the wedding included family and close friends like filmmaker Karan Johar.
The actress said that the one person she missed the most at her wedding was Aditya Chopra’s father, the late Yash Chopra.
“The one person I missed terribly was Yash Uncle, but I know he was there with us in spirit and his love and blessings will always be with Adi and me,” she said.
Aditya Chopra’s younger brother, Uday Chopra, tweeted welcoming Rani Mukerji into their family.
“We welcome Rani Chopra to the family.lots of love to the newly weds,” he tweeted.
Karan Johar too took to Twitter to congratulate the couple, “And finally.Mr and Mrs Chopra.Love you both.”
Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra started dating each other in the year 2008. But the couple tried to keep their relationship under wraps as Aditya Chopra’s divorce wasn’t finalized yet. The couple kept denying the news reports about them.
