The release date of Aamir Khan’s eagerly anticipated movie ‘P.K.’ has finally been announced.

“Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, in association with Disney India, confirm that PK shall release on December 19, 2014," said a statement.

Earlier the movie was scheduled to release in the month of June this year but it was later postponed to December. While announcing the postponement of the release, movie’s director Rajkumar Hirani, had stated that most of Aamir's films release during Christmas and they have done well.

Aamir Khan too had earlier stated that Christmas was a lucky season for him as his movies ‘Dhoom: 3’, ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Taare Zameen Par’, which hit screens during the Christmas season, went on to become super hits.

‘P.K.’ is a political satire film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan’ son Junaid makes his debut as an assistant director in this movie.

The movie stars Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles.
