Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was all set to make her Hollywood debut with ‘Fast and Furious 7’, has declined the project due to date issues.
The makers of the movie needed Deepika Padukone to allot dates as soon as September 10 for the movie. But as Deepika Padukone is currently busy with promotions of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ramleela’ and shooting of Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, the actress has no other option but to decline the movie.
“Deepika was offered to be a part of the next ‘Fast And Furious’ movie. She is a huge fan of the franchise and it's disappointing not to be able to do it. Unfortunately, the movie goes on the floors immediately and that left too short a time for her to shift her existing date commitments to the producers of ‘Ramleela’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Finding Fanny Fernandes’,” said Deepika Padukone’s spokesperson in an official statement.
Though Deepika Padukone, who had beaten Kangna Ranaut and Chitrangada Singh for the role, is disappointed the actress refused to dwell on this incident.
“I think a lot has been said. I have never been comfortable to talk about what doesn't happen, I rather focus on what is happening," Deepika said.
