Fans of former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai have been eagerly awaiting her return to the big screen.
There is good news for her fans as the recent reports suggest that the actress might make her comeback on big screen soon with the remake of 1983 classic movie ‘Masoom’.
According to reports, the remake rights have the movie were recently purchased by singer, music-composer turned producer Himesh Reshammiya. And the producer is planning on casting none other than Abhishek Bachchan as the male lead in the movie.
According to sources Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have agreed to be a part of the movie.
“Now, the details are being worked out,” said a source to Hindustan Times.
If all goes well Abhishek and Aishwarya will be essaying the roles immortalized by Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi.
It is also said that the movie will be directed by Bedobrata Pain, whose historical drama ‘Chittagong’ received lavish critical acclaim as well as three National awards.
‘Masoom’, directed by Shekhar Kapoor, is a story of a couple grappling with the reality of an illegitimate son in the husband's life. The tear jerking and heartwarming movie won hearts of many and established Shekhar Kapoor as a formidable filmmaker. Till date the movie is considered as one of the best movies in Bollywood.
