Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, who will be directing sequel of 2008 movie ‘Bhootnath’, said that the movie will go on floors once Amitabh Bachchan locks his dates.
Amitabh Bachchan, who played the ghost in the original, will reprise his role in the movie.
“We will start shooting once we get Amitabh Bachchan's date. He is busy with his other commitments. So once we get Big B's dates, we will start rolling. The film is in its early stage,” said Nitesh Tiwari to IANS.
‘Bhootnath’ directed by Vivek Sharma starred Amitabh Bachchan, child artist Aman Siddiqui and Juhi Chawla in lead roles. The movie also had an extended cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
Even though the movie was liked by kids, it failed to create an expected impression at the box-office.
Nitesh Tiwari said that though this movie will be a sequel it won’t be a continuation of 2008 story line but will have a fresh story, with fresh characters and cast.
“It will be altogether a fresh story. We are not taking ahead the previous story,” he said.
“We are contemplating with other titles as well. We are yet deciding the star cast,” he concluded.
