Actress Freida Pinto, who made her movie debut four years ago with Academy Award winning movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, might just sign her first Bollywood movie, according to the sources.
Freida Pinto, who went on to act in other Hollywood projects like ‘You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger’, ‘The Rise of Planet of Apes’ and ‘Trishna’, might star in a movie by filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane and Navdeep Singh.
“While her films abroad haven't really worked wonders for her career, she has managed to stay in the spotlight thanks to her immaculate dressing sense and her so-called exotic looks. But this film could change her fortunes,” said a source to a daily.
Sources further added that the movie will be and the script has been penned by Navdeep. Apparently, Navdeep has agreed to do this film on Vikramaditya Motwane’s request, who has asked his friend Navdeep (Manorama Six Feet Under) to make a film for his production house.
“Both Vikram and Navdeep felt that Freida would suit the role. She has liked the script and will take a call soon,” the source added.
When contacted Navdeep Singh he didn’t deny the news but said, “It is too early to comment.”
