Its been rumored that Ranbir Kapoor recently turned down Karan Johar’s upcoming periodic love story as he was reluctant to play second fiddle to Shah Rukh Khan in the movie.
When approached Karan Johar for confirmation he rubbished the rumors and denied having locked any such scripts.
Ranbir Kapoor on his part cleared the air and said that he had no problem playing second fiddle to anyone but also said that Karan Johar hadn’t approached him with any such script.
“There is nothing that has been offered to me. I don't believe in first lead, second lead, third lead. I had myself done a film called 'Raajneeti', where there was nothing like I am the first lead or somebody else was second lead. It was a good script and if it's a character that individually excites me first as an actor, of course I do it. But there is no film as such that has been offered to me,” said Ranbir Kapoor to a daily.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently working Karan Johar’s production ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ directed by Ayan Mukerji. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone and Kalki Koechlin.
Other than ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ the actor is also working on ‘Besharam’ and ‘Bombay Velvet’.
