Just recently Saif Ali Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore confirmed that Saif Ali Khan will be tying knot with his long term girlfriend Kareena Kapoor on October 16.

But Saif Ali Khan, talking to HT, in an interview, said that a date hadn’t yet been fixed on the wedding.

“I haven’t fixed a date for my wedding! I’m yet to meet Kareena's parents to sort out the date ... the venue is also not finalized,” he said.

Previously, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor refused to confirm their wedding date and all they said was ‘It’s going to be a year-end wedding’.

When asked if the actor was excited about the wedding he said, “As for excitement, we’ve been together [for a while], so what’s new? I’m 41, not an 18-year-old!”

HT even went ahead and asked him if his first wife Amrita Singh and his two kids Sarah and Ibrahim were ok with the wedding and all he said in reply was, “Everyone is very happy.”

Saif Ali Khan saying that the wedding hasn’t been fixed yet raises some doubts as Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently stated that he dropped Kareena Kapoor from his movie ‘Ram Leela’ only because he though ‘married’ Kareena won’t be able to do justice to the role of ‘Juliet’.

Not just Sharmila Tagore but also Soha Ali Khan had recently stated that Saif Ali Khan would be married soon.
