Seems like actress Sonakshi Sinha has replaced Katrina Kaif as Akshay Kumar’s lucky mascot.
Over the years Katrina Kaif gained the reputation of Akshay Kumar’s lucky mascot as Akshay Kumar’s films featuring her went on to become box-office hits except for their latest ‘Tees Maar Khan’.
But with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’ grossing 100 Crores at the box-office and still going strong it’s now Sonakshi Sinha whose being termed as Akshay’s lucky mascot.
Keeping in with the current fame, Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in for a special appearance in a song in the movie ‘Oh My God’, jointly produced by Akshay Kumar and Ashwini Yardi.
The producer Ashwini confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we have just signed up Sonakshi.”
As the movie is based on Lord Krishna (played by Akshay Kumar) the movie has very little scope for an actress but the writers are currently working towards incorporating the actress in the movie.
The movie is an adaption of Paresh Rawal’s Gujarati play ‘Kanji Viruddh Kanji’, which was made in Hindi as ‘Krishna vs Kanhaiya’. Akshay Kumar was so impressed with the play that he immediately bought the rights for the play and started working on its movie adaption.
The movie features Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Pankaj Kapoor and Nidhi Subbaiah, in a small role. The music is being scored by Himesh Reshammiya.
