Actress Sridevi, who ruled the roost in Indian filmdom in late 80s, is likely to act in the remake of ‘Gundamma Katha’, says the buzz. A veteran producer from Tollywood has recently approached the gorgeous beauty for the project and is currently waiting for her green signal. If this happens, Sridevi is going to step into the shoes of Gundamma originally played by legendary actress Suryakantham.

Ever since Jr NTR forayed into films, the makers are toying the idea to remake ‘Gundamma Katha’ with the actor.  Also, the makers are trying to rope in Naga Chaitanya for Nagaeswara Rao’s role. Let’s hope everything falls in place and we are going to see modern ‘Gundamma Katha’ soon.
