Recently controversies have been surrounding Shah Rukh Khan like a plague. Even actor Saif Ali Khan was recently involved in a big controversy. But actor Akshay Kumar said that he is thankful that he hasn’t been involved in any controversies in recent times.

“May be I escaped from controversies, maybe I was not caught. No, it is not like that. There are situations when controversies are made and controversies are created out of nothing,” said Akshay Kumar to IANS.

“Some actors fell into that! But no one wants to get caught into any controversy; everyone wants to hear good things about themselves. It is situations that make you a victim of some controversy. I feel I am lucky enough not to become a victim of any controversy. May be I escaped from it,” he added.

The only controversy that Akshay Kumar was involved in recent times was during the 2009 Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai when he asked his wife Twinkle Khanna to unzip his jeans during the show.

“I would still say that unbuttoning thing was not wrong,” he said adding that he dint have any regrets about it.

The actor is also gearing up for the release of his movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’ that marks his comeback into action genre.

“‘Rowdy Rathore’ is a perfect comeback in action. It has raw action and directed by one of the best action directors, Prabhu Deva. I am returning to action after 7 years because I wanted a break from it. As I had been doing action films for an uninterrupted 14-15 years. I know it was a big break but that's fine. Now I have as good as 4-5 action films lined up,” he said to Glamsham.

The actor said that the action in the movie was different from other action films.

“It's a different action because it's raw and involves street-style fight sequences. I have always been in touch with martial arts and technical kind of action. So this was something new for me. But it is quite practical than the technical one,” he concluded.

The movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’ also starring Sonakshi Sinha will release on June 1, 2012.
