Ram Gopal Varma has joined hands with Puri Jagannath to remake the recent Telugu blockbuster hit ‘Business Man’.

The movie will star Abhishek Bachchan in the main role essayed by Southern Superstar Mahesh Babu in the original.

The news of the remake was confirmed by Ram Gopal Varma himself through his Twitter account.

“Finally it's confirmed. Me and Puri Jagan together are making the remake of the block buster Telugu hit `Businessman' with Abhishek Bachchan,” tweeted Ram Gopal Varma.

Puri Jagannath had initially planned on remaking the movie in Hindi with Mahesh Babu in lead. The movie was supposed to be the much awaited debut of Mahesh Babu in Bollywood. But as Mahesh Babu opted out of the movie citing previous commitments in Tollywood. In an interview recently he had said that he was happy in Tollywood and Bollywood debut would have to wait, Puri Jagannath turned to Abhishek Bachchan.

This is the third time that Abhishek Bachchan will work under Ram Gopal Varma's direction. The duo has previously worked together in movies like ‘Naach’, ‘Sarkar’ and ‘Sarkar Raj’.
