Madhuri Dixit-Nene is the sixth Bollywood celebrity to be immortalized in wax at Madam Tussauds in London.

The actress flew to London last week to unveil her wax statue. She was accompanied by her husband Dr Shriram Nene, children Ryan and Arin, parents and manager Rikku Rakeshnath and his daughter Shaina Nath.

“I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It's incredible just how detailed the figure is - they have captured my look beautifully! I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes,” said Madhuri Dixit after unveiling the statue.

The wax figurine took 4 months to be created and cost 150,000 pounds. The actress donated the exquisite pink sari donned by the statue. The statue also has a heavy neckpiece around the neck. The look of the statue is complete with Madhuri Dixit’s trademark smile.

“It is a very close resemblance and we think the creative team did a great job. My wax statue is incredibly detailed and they have captured my look very well. Varun Bahl did a great job on the sari and so did Shaina Nath as the stylist. It took a few days to finalize the look. We selected a sari for the statue rather than a western outfit as Varun and Shaina both felt the sari looks best on me,” she said.

The actress is famous for her performances in 'Tezaab', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Saajan', ‘Dil’, 'Beta', ‘Khalnayak’, 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai' and 'Devdas'.

After marriage the actress bid adieu to Bollywood and located to US. But last year the actress relocated back to India along with her family.

The actress’s statue now stands along with the statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.
