No, the actor is not doing any new film in Telugu. The actors old Tamil film is being dubbed into Telugu with ‘Malligadu’ as title. Karthi’s debut film ‘Paruthiveeran’ directed by Ameer is now being dubbed into Telugu to cash in on the actors craze in Telugu. ‘Malligadu’ stars Priyamani as heroine opposite Karthi. And it was for this film that she got National Award for Best Actress.

Karthi is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Sakuni’, which is slated to release in April later this year. Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the theatrical rights of this movie for Rs 9 crore for entire Andhra Pradesh. Karthi's films 'Yuganiki Okkadu', 'Awara' and 'Naa Peru Siva' became big hits in Telugu.
