Farhan Akhtar's 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' to be shot in Pakistan

Bollywood filmmaker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, who shot to fame after his movie ‘Rang De Basanti’, is currently busy working on his most ambitious project till date ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ starring Farhan Akhtar.

The movie ‘‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is biopic based on the life of Olympic medal winning Milkha Singh, who was a sports icon post-1947 India.

The director is planning on shooting some parts of the movie in Pakistan as the legendary athlete was born and brought up in a town that is now in Pakistan.

“We are quiet keen to shoot on the borders of Pakistan to get more authenticity to the film as Milkha was born in one of the towns there. We will be applying for permissions soon,” said Mehra in a press statement.

Farhan Akhtar, who will play the role of Flying Sikh of India, is giving his all to portray the role as authentic as possible. The actor has started sporting a beard and can be seen wearing a turban. Not just that but the actor has met up with the legend itself to get some tips on essaying him on big screen. The actor is also undergoing rigorous training for the same.

The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor.
