Born to D Ramanaidu and Rajeshwari on December 13, 1960, Venkatesh made his debut as child artist in ANR’s ‘Prem Nagar’. He played the role of small Satyanarayana in this blockbuster. He turned hero with ‘Kaliyuga Pandavulu’ in 1986. The movie became a hit and fetched him first Nandi Award for best male debut actor of that year. So far, he has won 7 Nandi Awards, 4 Film Fare awards and few other awards for his remarkable performances in his films. Till date, he acted in 66 films in Telugu and Hindi languages. His brother D Suresh Babu is a popular Tollywood producer.
