Tamil Star Dhanush became an overnight celebrity thanks to his song ‘Kolaveri Di’.
The promo of the song was released on YouTube on November 16th and it spread like a viral notching up 3,020,014 hits by Thursday. The view count hit 4,567,105 by Friday evening.
Along with its music, it’s the nonsensical Tamil-English (Tanglish) lyrics that are attracting more and more views. Among the many fans of the song, who can’t get enough of it, Amitabh Bachchan is one of them.

The song is a part of movie "3", which is being directed by Dhanush’s wife Aishwarya, the daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. The song has been composed by 18-year-old Anirudh Ravichander.
