Padmabhushan Chiranjeevi’s son and actor Ram Charan is going to marry his long time girlfriend Upasana Kamineni soon. Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha went to greet Governor ESL Narasimhan and his wife yesterday, on the occasion of Diwali. It is also learnt that the couple invited Governor for the engagement of their son which is going to be held at Domakonda Fort, Nizamabad on December 1.

When questioned about this development, Chiranjeevi himself announced the engagement date to the media. He also told that the engagement is going to be a private affair and only relatives and close friends of both the families will attend the event. He asked the people of Andhra Pradesh to shower blessings on the young couple. However, the marriage will take place in Hyderabad that too in the month of February, 2012.

Charan went to Dharmashala for a short trek today and will be back on Sunday. His next film 'Rachaa' is expected to release on Pongal.
