Censor board member and The Hindu journalist Y Sunitha Chowdary has lodged a complaint at Jubilee Hills police station on star hero Akkineni Nagarjuna on the charges of abusing and threatening to kill her. The police registered FIR on Nagarjuna under the sections Cr. No. 456/11 under section 506, 509 IPC and on the charges of intimidating a woman.

The incident happened when Sunitha Chowdary visited Annapurna Studios for coverage on Nagarjuna’s upcoming film 'Damarukam'. Nagarjuna came suddenly to her and starting abused her for her old articles related to his movie 'King'.  The journo felt humiliated and offended by the incident and left the place in a hurry.

Though there is no clarity on what exactly happened and knowing the good track record of Nagarjuna and his behavior we can’t just come to conclusions. However, the actor remained silent on the issue and unavailable for comment, which is further damaging his image.
