The remake rights of Tollywood movie 'Maryada Ramanna' starring Sunil-Saloni and directed by ace director SS Rajamouli were sold for Rs 80 crore. Ajay Devgn has acquired the rights of the film along with his producer friends N.R. Pachisia and Praveen Talreja. The Hindi film is titled 'Son Of Sardar (SOS)'.

Sonakshi Sinha has been finalized as the leading lady opposite Ajay Devgn. Ashwini Dhir of 'Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge' wields the megaphone for this film. It is learnt that few changes has been made to the script to suit the sensibilities of hindi audience.
