Rana who injured his knees while shooting for an action episode in his forthcoming film 'Department' joined the film's shoot today. He recovered completely from the injury and flew back to Mumbai last evening. Department is directed by maverick director Ram Gopal Varma.

Rana is playing the role of police officer and his co-stars are none other than Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. Amitabh is playing the role of a gangster turned politician and Sanjay Dutt is donning police officer's role.

Kangana Ranaut and Laksmi Prasanna Manchu are playing key roles in the film. There is rumor that this film is based on Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane’s life story. We need to wait and see whether it is true or not on the big screen.
