Rana Daggubati who is acting in Hindi as well as in Telugu films was injured in the sets of 'Department' twice while shooting for action sequences. He reportedly injured his biceps firstly and continued to shoot after taking some first aid. Later, after few minutes he injured his knees and immediately rushed to the hospital. Rana is playing a cop in this movie.

Doctors advised him some rest and in the mean while director of the film Ram Gopal Varma is canning the scenes on the other artists. 'Department' also stars Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.  Music for the film is given by Kevin Thomas.
