Rajini Kanth's Rana shoot to commence from Ocotober

The shooting of Rajinikanth’s dream project 'Rana' which was supposed to commence from the month of September has been now postponed to October first week. The shooting was abruptly stopped due to Rajinikanth’s ill health. But now the actor has recovered and is all set to resume the shooting.

The movie is being directed by KS Ravi Kumar and the story has been penned by Rajinikanth himself. Rajinikanth had asked the director to rework a few parts in the script, which the director has completed.

Rajini is playing triple role in this film and the movie will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Deepika Padukone is one of the female leads of the film. AR Rahman is composing music while R Rathnavelu is the cinematographer.

The film unit has already prepared the sets for the movie at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and AVM studios in Chennai for the shoot. Soundarya Rajini Kanth’s Ocher Studios and EROS International are jointly producing this film.

The film is expected to release early next year during the Pongal (Sankranthi) season.
